Driftwood sculpture #5

One of a kind, wonderfully abstract driftwood sculpture.  When I found this driftwood on the beach, I was immediately drawn to the shape.  I spent hours hand carving and sanding to bring out the lovely curves.  The beautiful sheen you see is the product of buffing the wood - no chemicals were used.  It's an interesting piece in that much of it is sap and has a wonderful aroma.  I love the gentle curves that remind me of the ocean.  The sculpture has been carefully mounted to piece of reclaimed marble and measures 10 inches by 10 inches by 8 inches high.
